I will be getting my Alta Short Shift Kit here in about 2 days or so and I was just wondering if anyone has done one yet? Are they hard to install? Do the shifts feel good? Any help would be great, especially some opinions.

 

They work great! You will like it. They have good instructions. Allow 1.5 hours.

 

Love mine Just get a Whalen **** to go with it. Just order from Doug and tell him you want one that screws onto the Alta.

It took waaaay longer than 1.5hrs, if I knew how much a pain in the butt it would be, I probably wouldn't have gotten mine (B&M) or would've just gotten the more simple helix.

It can be a pain working under the car to drop the exhaust, and then finding and taking off all the heatshield pins. Once you get the box off, you need to pull really hard on the linkage to get it off the stock shifter.

Definately check out some threads before doing the install and allocate lots of time. Having someone assist is a plus too
