Congrats! Isn't it such a warm, fuzzy feeling to be a new parent to a MINI?

Welcome to NAM, twindy57! There are quite a few 2-MINI families here on NAM. Sounds like you're well on the way to full MINI mania!

And the fun part, Twindy, is that you will like the MINI more 6 months from now than you do at this moment. We bought our first MINI three years ago last week, and I still get a kick out of driving to work . . .

Thanks All....Snow

Thanks for the warm welcome

Snowed this morning didn't stick, too bloody cold.

How will my MINI do in the snow, do I need studded tires?

We don't usually get much, a few inches for a few days, then gone.

P.S. Ouch!! No my Explorer didn't get hit by the poor blue MINI in Detroit. I'm in Eastern Washington State.

Congratulations. I also traded in an explorer for the MINI and love the new ride and handling I have. As far as snow goes. I have been surviving the michigan winter on my all-season run flats so far. Have had 2 good snows and lots of slush so far, but very predictable and controllable. If you have performance summer tires, then you would definitely want to look into some snows. If it is light snow, look more for a performance winter tire like dunlop m3s or blizzak lm-25.

(Glad it wasn't your MINI, but sad for her! She is a nice girl)
Welcome to NAM. I will refer the snow issue to the experts........(search through the threads with snow as a key word if you get no help)
