Hey everyone:

I don't own a Mini yet, but am fixing to buy one next year. Just felt like hopping onto the message board to say hi. I've test driven the Mini and the Mini S and am sold on the Mini S. I've got some questions that I'd like to toss out at some point, but wanted to say hello. I live in northern Virginia, USA.

Hi Don,
It's good to have you here. You'll find a lot of great info by using the search button, but don't worry, we're pretty forgiving if you ask easy beginner questions, and we're more than willing to argue amongst ourselves about what color/options/etc. you should get on your car.

Might want to avoid these questions, though... Just wait a few days, and they'll pop up on their own.

1. So, how's the MINI in the snow?
2. Is the MINI a girl's car?
3. Is the MINI basically just a Dodge Neon?

1. Front wheel drive, get the sport package and LSD it'll be good, swap in some snow tires it'll be great!

2. Just as much as anything else on the road. We like to think of them as "equal opportunity vehicles." Everybody should have an equal opportunity to fall in love with them!

Thanks everyone for their warm welcomes. I spent most of my weekend trying to get a new CD player into my old Ford to make it tolerable until my MINI purchase next year. Needless to say, the Ford is getting old..

I was looking around in the Northern Virginia area and was a bit disappointed to learn that GoMini magazine is history. Does anyone know what happened there? I understand that MC2 has been launched, but I haven't seen it yet. I like these magazines because not only are they interesting reading on the metro, they turn heads, especially from the ladies...:-)
