What To Expect?

Can anyone tell me what should be included with my new MINI on delivery? Is there a tool kit? spare anything? Are there things that I should look for before leaving the dealer? spare keys.. how many?

For gods sake am I gonna get a free hat?

Did you order a Cooper or Cooper S? If you ordered a Cooper S, there's a jack on the boot floor and a small tool kit with tow hook right next to the battery under the boot floor. Your results may vary if you ordered a Cooper Check inside the glovebox to make sure you got the owner's manual and the window sticker. Before you leave the dealer, make sure all the programable options are there (day time running lights, auto locking etc). In terms of keys, you should get two with one emergency plastic version.

Freebies-wise, my dealer threw in the all weather floor mats. Oh, before I took delivery, they sent me their own "birth certificate" and a key chain. Then after you take delivery, you should get the welcome package from MINI USA. My dealer even sent me a $50 gift certificate towards the purchase of accessories

Mine was pretty much the same as Funk's, except no key chain, but I did get the big ol' cupholder (didn't want it), a full tank of gas and all the doughnuts and coffee I wanted. Unfortunately I've had enough doughnuts and the coffee machine was too complex to figure out. Still looking for the toolkit by the battery, it's dark under there...

I got a gift bag full of marketing swag (stickers, brochures, etc.), a die-cast miniature version of my MINI, and a handshake. My dealer did not have the aux. input (which I ordered) in stock, so I got an I.O.U. to have the input installed at a later date, plus they refunded the cost of the input and the installation that was charged on my invoice. I asked for the floor matts to be free, but my MA said he had to charge me...so I look at the free aux. input as me getting my free matts after all.

Delivery Day for our MINI was by far the best we ever had with any car. Our MINI was in the show room under a cover, the MA unveiled if like a work of art. The only down side was the high pressure finance guy and his over priced extended warranty's.

Check the paint VERY carefully I just noticed a blemish under the hatch that needs to be repainted.
