Howdy all, I'm a newbie to NAM and am one of those mid-life guys that felt the thrill was gone.....and then I got "converted". I drove a heavily moded Mini. Totally INTOXICATING! I live near South Lake Tahoe, Nevada with hundreds of miles of twisties to motor from 5,000 ft. to 10,000 ft. elevation. Can't wait. Hope there's a few other Mini drivers to hang with in the area without driving down to Sacramento. Looking forward to motoring with you all.... Ain't Life Great! Yo Baby, Restartin the MOJO soon!!
Week 44, '06 DS/S MCS, JCW, #1,2,3,4 additional engine mods to come.

Tahoe Mini,

Welcome to NAM and the thrill of the MINI. I'm way beyond mid-life, more like OLD, but still get a thrill out of driving. Like the nice (not so) police officer said, "That some pretty agressive driving there." Oh well, try to make it more than eight days of ownership before seeing the red and blue in the rear view.

And why is it at mid-life we are having a crisis if we still know what fun is?

LOL, welcome and have a great time driving those windy roads! I know the feeling, we have some good areas around the Central Texas Hill Country too!!!

Had mine years ago...TR-6 cured it...temporarily....then an R32....add an MCS and the mountains around here and life is good...if a little "creaky".

Cheers

I am 62 and haven't had my mid-life crisis yet. Does that mean I will live past 124?

Welcome on-board, I consider myself pretty young for mid-life crisis, but hope I can live long enough to drive Minis in my late 70s

Well, my 05 MCS was certainly a midlife crisis buy! Haven't stop smiling, or writing checks to Randy Webb and other assorted purveyors of smiles that appear every time I get behind the wheel of my MINI. I'm waiting for the paranoia to appear, though...

Is there such thing as an early-life crisis? If so, I had one and bought my MINI at 24. Oh now I get it, it was a mid-twenties crisis

I don't wanna grow up, but if I do, I wanna drive a MINI like all of you! (read with toys-r-us tune, it'll be more enjoyable)
