Here's what I got off the net.

Korea's auto import tariff is 8% (more than 3 times the US rate) plus multiple taxes compounded on the tariff which raises the effective rate above 12% (!). This is according to the US government.

Korea's import tariff is 8% ( USA's import tarriff is 2%)..

Total tariff is 8% plus multiple taxes compound on the tariff , which raises 34%. ( due to 1600cc).

I have no perfect confidence in it...

In Korea, there are a registration tax and an additional tax..
They are added to ( car price + dealer's margin + above total import tariff. )..

In korea , MINI is sold at the expensive price..
But, some other factors made me to decide it..

How is MINI on the snow way..?

 

I have the 16" all-season tires on mine and it was great last winter. With a set of snow tires it will be even better!

uglyduck...now if you can just have people quit hitting your Mini and keep it out of the shop we can maybe go for a cruz before it gets too cold here. My Mini will be out of the shop from Peak in 2 weeks and it will be a screamer....so we gotta go out and drive so I can break it in again. Drop me a PM.

BTW you other NAMers. I had one of the first Minis in Korea last year which I shipped from the USA when I got my job here. It is good to fineally see Minis in Korea. Now if I can help them become MINIACS
