I'm thinking of trading in my 2002 MC for for a 2006 JCW. Is there a deadline to order 2006? Would they still take orders for 2006 in 2007?

I put my order in on Saturday September 24, 2005. My MINI is scheduled for production week 45. Should be built the first week of November 2005. I woulld say that you should get in as soon as possible, Especially if you want a 2006 MCS the last of the first generations.

You have a little less than a year to buy a 2006.

 

The only 2006's that will sell in 2007 are used or left over 2006's. With MINI's I honestly doubt that there will be any 2006's left over by this time next year.

 

I would think you'd have until May 2006 or so. The 2007 model year changeover may shut things off earlier in 2006 than the 2005->2006 changeover, but you could still get a 2005 ordering in July of 2005.

 

yep...he's right... could shut down the Mini factory sooner than usual.

I would think it would take longer to refit the factory assembly lines and robot processes due to the new 07 specs than it did for the 06 specs.
