Production Week #38 - September 19th

Should be at the dealer by end of October. I wish I woulda known that the trick is to talk to a human at ASK MINI, d'oh. The computer voice still doesn't know when the production date is. Excuse me while I go turn some cartwheels....

My MCS is in production and supposed to be finished 9/18 according to "the voice", so I guess that makes me Week 37? The process is going faster than I expected. I handed over my deposit Aug 6th, sent my final options in 8/21, order was entered 8/25.

Friends have told me the Vehicle Processing Center time will take longer though.

Me too. My MCSC iin Chili Red is due to be completed on September 18th. Hopefully, this delivery will go as smoothly as my first MCS did back in 03.

I'm a CR/B MCS ALSO in a 38th week slot... i just checked my Owner's Lounge page and it says that my status has switched to "Scheduled for Production". I AM SUPER PUMPED!!!

October will be the PERFECT time to take delivery of our MCS's... lots of cool, dense air to slam into those intercoolers!

Are you guys able to get any other information about your order besides what it says on Mini USA (an annoying intro'ed page telling me my car is scheduled for production)?

CANT WAIT!!!

If you call 1 866 ASK MINI and then choose the customer relations option you can talk to a human. My owner's page still says "On Order," and the computer voice still says "no production date scheduled," but when I talked to the rep he was able to tell me that my car was slotted to begin production on Sept. 19th and should be done by the 26th. Can't hardly wait! :impatient

Ordered two Mini's

I ordered two identical Mini's on Sept 1st (for me and the wife). Scheduled for production on Sept. 19th. Taking delivery in Charleston S.C. so the shipping time from England shouldn't take too long. Can't wait to get out of the TWO Ford Expeditions we both drive right now. We will keep one Expedition for long family trips and sell the other to my business. I've only seen two other Mini's in my city (Sumter, S.C.) so having two identical Mini's should turn some heads.

Can't Wait!

The Little Things

So I was on line 9/17 and saw my Royal Grey and Silver S was "Scheduled for Production"and I now have a VIN. I had ordered it at the dealer on 9/11. I just called Ask Mini and he told me that they anticipate it being completed 9/25  Then I have to wait for the long boat ride to the west coast and eventually down to San Diego..."The waiting is the hardest part"

Oof, ya got that right. It's like waiting for Christmas, or the last day of school when you're a kid.

My little cutie is set to be completed the same day as yours (09/25/05), might be shipmates since mine's going to Mini of Murray in Utah.

So you're having twins? How cool is that. What are the specs on your babies?

I wonder how many others on this site have twin MINIs? I'm just happy to finally have a car that will fit in my garage, then again, it is a double.

I just spoke to Mini USA, and my ride has been released to transport! I'm pretty excited! They need to update that web site quicker!

Now I'm just waiting for my cargo info to pop up on:

A twin is born

My second MINI was born today. The Twins are awaiting transportation.

I don't know all the codes so I'll just type out the specs. Both cars are identical.

MC, Astro Black, Chrome Interior, Cruise /MF Steering Wheel, Ipod Adapter, Anthracite Interior, Cold Weather Package, Sport Seats, Cockpit Chrono Pack, Center Arm Rest, White Bonnet Stripes, Rubber Floor Mats all around.

Our Custom Designed dream cars are finally coming to reality.
Thanks to your advice to call ASK MINI, I had found it is in the Paint-Shop, and will be finished tomorrow. Just like Postrin. The last three of my VIN is 769, anyone close?
Maybe we can all get together for dinner while we cross the Atlantic haha..
'06 MC Liquid Yellow/White, Octagon Blk. Cloth, Premium & Convinience Packs, HK, Front Fogs, Spoiler, and those new Delta wheels.

My VIN's last three are 063 but it's an MCSC, different production line maybe? How do they assign the VIN's anyway I wonder? Dinner sounds great, and a little dancing - maybe line dancing - are MINI's too cool to square dance 'cause I doubt they like to slow dance.

There are people on the 36th week production thread saying the Maersk is about to pull into NY.... does that mean we have to wait for the boat to go all the way back to england before it brings our cars back?

I wonder if that is why it states the time for the trip will take 12 days... I didnt think it woudl take 12 days to cross the ocean once....
