Sending initial check to dealer.

I live in Vegas but ordering Cooper S from Denver
because their deposit is less and they can get
me my MINI in 4 months as opposed to 6 months
if I get the car from Phoenix. Why the discrepancy?

The Vegas dealer won't respond to emails so
I won't be buying it from here.

Unfortunately, most of the busiest dealers with the longest waiting lists (sound like LV is one of these) take the attitude that they don't have to perform common courtesies like answering e-mails or returning phone calls, because they always have a line of people waiting with checks in their hand. Good for you for not playing that game, and going somewhere where they treat you right.

I'm not sure if you've actually ordered yet, but if not you might want to try giving the Salt Lake dealer a call. I know a lot of out-of-staters buy cars through them, so I'm guessing their waiting list is less than four months long.

Good luck and welcome!
Chris

Most of the wait times deal with how many cars certain dealers can order and recieve. If dealer A has been selling since MINI was introduced they are more likely to have a higher allotment unlike dealer B who got into the market late.

I was told this by the wonderfull people at Rassmusen MINI in OR. They are like Dealer B, unable to get a higher allotment of cars at this time. I wanted to buy there but the waittime was to long, so like you I ordered from Ralph Schomp
