Does it automatically reset itself when an oil change is done? or does it need to be manually reset?

I recently purchased a used MCS, and was told it had an oil change done before i got it, but the oil change indicator says its way past due. Curious if it needs one (and i need to yell at the stealership), or if i simply need to reset the counter.

if so, how do i reset it? I cant find it in the manual anywhere.

 

Using a OBD reset tool or by the stealer to reset it.
