Where does the styrofoam boxed tool kit fit in the MC 2002? Does it fit inside the spare somewhere? I converted to nonrunflats and got an 02 MC spare and want to put the tool kit inside. I think the 02 MC had the styrofoam boxed tool kit in the spare. I want to eliminate the funny jack/jack bag from the boot of my 04 MCS. Will stow the spare behind the front passenger seat in a bag. Don't want to drive around with fix-a-flat and a compressor or wait for Mini roadside assistance in the middle of the night on a long trip...hence the spare and the relocated tools. Can't seem to find anyone who has a set of tools in a pouch that goes in the little left cubby to sell.

 

It fits beside the battery to the rear on my 05 MCS. Of course, no spare, so perhaps this is totally useless information. Or not.

Sorry, but the styrofoam boxed toolkit for the 02 MC is fatter than the one that fits in the 05 MCS next to the battery. Looks similar, but I don't think it fits in the MCS. Doesn't seem to fit in mine.
