Production Week 32 (8/8/05) Support Group
The Bujin hit Port Hueneme today.. and maybe our new Mini's are basking in the California sun working on their tan while they wait for their turn through the VPC. Now here's to short lines at the VPC and quick distribution out to all the dealers served by Port Hueneme so that we can all be motoring soon!

Joy Joy!
Talked to my M.A. today and it sounds like we're in the same boat!
My PS/B MCSC should be headed toward Colorado any day now. Just need to get all the finances in order now. Shouldn't be too bad since my old car sold last week for full price (gotta love craigslist! -- sold in < 24 hrs).
Now I have work to do on accessories. Let's see, at a minimum
- Mats
- Glovebox org.
- Ian's auto-up window control ?
- Euro parcel shelf ?
- iPod & adapter?
Well, lots to think about. I probably can't spend too much on the Mini since I have a 5yr anniversary coming up

OL is still showing 'En Route' and my dealer doesn't open for another 2-3 hours - it's time to start calling them every day for an update - it's been a LONG 2 1/2 months. <sigh>
I'll just go get it myself!
Talked to my ever-patient M.A. again today.
Apparently the darned car is still sitting on the boat! How long does it take to unload one of these things? His exact words were something like "well, it usually takes 2 1/2 to 3 weeks for a car to get out to Colorado from California". I imagine a bunch of that is just getting through customs, final prep off the boat, etc.
Google Maps shows it as under 21 hrs from Port Hueneme to Littleton -- just a long day's motor, right? OK, maybe 2 if you find a couple twisties along the way...

I don't have my car yet either. The Franconia finally got past the hurricane and dropped off the MINI in Charleston sometime before 4am ont he 16th. Got a call from my MA on Friday and he said the MINI should be at the dealership around the 21st. I'm on east coast so mot much shipping time after it gets through the port VDC operations. Also Owners Lounge still says enroute. They are a little slow.
No car yet here either, last week on Tuesday the dealership called and said 5-10 days, so hopefully sometime in the next week. It will be getting an aero kit, driving lamps, and satellite radio installed before I get it. So excited!
Still nothing for me! I can't seem to get any info on where my MINI is. My MA didn't know what boat it was on, what the bill of lading was, but says it should have been in Charleston by 9/18. When I mentioned how others here have been able to get the extra information, he says it isn't available to him.:impatient
I think he's full of, well, something. . .that info is available if the MA wants to dig a little.
Still no word on our new droptop yet, either - OL still shows it as En Route, not going to bother with the dealer anytime soon - I'm not getting a ton of info, either.

Nice MINI's guys! Hopefully all of us in this production group will be out motoring soon. Got a call from my MA yesterday and he said that my MINI had been released to Transportation from the VDC. He said once it gets on a truck it will be 12 hours before it arrives at the dealer. I may have only a day or so to wait. Today is my anniversary and I'm going out of town so I may not be able to pick it up until Friday even if it arrives.
DHagberg - No!, But....
Just got word yesterday that "it could arrive any day now", so that must mean it's been taken off the boat and released from the VDC in California... They think it might get to Colorado by Friday but weren't sure if they could have it prepped in time for the weekend (might miss the Yalla Yalla
).
So now I need to seriously finish lining up the financing -- anyone seen an APR less than 5.35% lately?

Great looking pictures! Hopefully, the rest of us will be able to post soon too. Enjoy!
Droptop .... I guess destiny has kept our MINIs together. After nothing at all from my MA (St Louis MINI), this morning he tells me it will be ready Friday evening for pick-up! WOO-HOO!!!
We are planning a short trip for the weekend now with a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, in late October. Excitement is building.

You may join if you are Navy active or retired or work for Dept of Navy in some capacity or if you have a releative who meets the criteria such as parents, grandparents, children etc. Check any other Federal Credit Unions as well, they are all giving good rates right now.
Capitalonefinance is 4.99 for 36m and 5.25 for 60m.

Dealership! Car! There! *gasp* I saw it!

So excited. I am as giddy as.. (a schoolgirl?)
Expected turn over to me is 9/27 (My Birthday)!
So here's the more detailed information:
2005 Purple Haze / Black Cooper S w/ Sunroof
LSD, Sirius Sat. Radio, Sports, Cold Weather and Premium packages.
Web Spoke wheels, Performance Run Flats, Driving Lights
Aero Kit with wheel arches painted in body color.
Anthracite Interior w/ Headliner
Space Cloth seats
On another note:
Saw the JCW Carbon Fiber dash in the dealer JCW Demo car.. wow it is nice looking. The weave pattern of the carbon fiber is really nice looking. The price is steep, but it looks really nice, the pictures at MiniUSA and the JCW website don't do it justice by a long shot.
Finalstatic - Sounds great. I love the Aero kit with the painted arches. Nashville does all the Aero kits with the painted arches and it looks so much more complete.
Bluebeemer - Great news! Glad to hear your MINI arrived. I'm sure our MINI's know each other well by now after hanging out on the same boat for so long.
I have good news as well. My MINI is at the dealer and I will be picking it up tomorrow. So I will be motoring this weekend as well. I will provide pictures.

Great News for the week 32er's
It's great to see that you guys/girls are getting your MINIs! Today will be three weeks since I picked mine up, and I can't get the grin off my face! Yesterday I passed the 1K mark, and I'm sure to get past the magic 1,200 this weekend. Here's to exploring the mystic redline!
MA said it could be Sat if it got on the early truck. But probably Monday/Tuesday depending on turn around. Can't wait. Already have my ice>link Plus ready to be installed. SO I can motor in tunitude!!!
Roggen....out!
Roggen....out!
Woo-Hoo!
We finally took delivery Friday evening and have motored a few hundred miles today to get know our baby! This thing is a blast to drive. Just look at my wife's face sitting behind the wheel. This a typical MINI owner's grin for sure.
The wait was tedious, but it took about five seconds to forget about it.
