i guess it's really going to happen.

my MA tweaked a chili red mcs which was in their order pipeline last friday
for my options (LY body/white roof/white wheels, etc) and this morning the production status now shows it's ordered and colour now matches.

yippee!! now comes the long way

an unrelated question:

was the mini cooper ever produced in white??
the third mini in the italian job doesn't quite look to be pepper white??
was it a one-off for the movie??

my mcs started production at 6:46 AM today!!

the website still says it's on order
and
the automated phone system says it's scheduled for production
but with no start date.

had to talk to a live person to get this info

starting to count the days!!

 

just got off the phone w/ ask-mini
and it looks like my MCS now has
a projected completion of 7/17.




if everything goes smoothly, it'll be here in time
for my birthday next month!!

 

WOW!!! That's so cool you guys are getting the date and time on your car's build. Where was I when that was going on??? Hmmmm....maybe it's new.

The Italian Job did have a Pepper White MINI w/ the same roof color. I think I saw a pic of a pure white MINI once, but it was certainly a one-off.

A VIN number has appeared in my order details on the owner's lounge.
i wonder if it's likely to change during the build process.

 

My Vin# showed up yesterday. It would be nice if it was completed sooner.

my vehicle has sat on status 150 for the last week.
sometime last night it zoomed thru 151 (body shop)
and into 152 (paint shop)

looks like it might actually meet the anticipated
completion date of 7/17 (sunday)

 

Mine's in the paint shop too! Hmmm they must be painting the LY's now.

Liquid Yellows rule! Mine is scheduled for completion tomorrow. Icecubed is scheduled comlpete on Sunday. I wonder if that's because mines LY/LY and Icecubed is LY/W

it's tentatively scheduled to ship on the UNDINE (voyage EQ529-UND)
and arrive NYC on the 30th. (a mere 8 day pond crossing )

got bumped forward by two days to the MIGNON (voyage EA528-MIG)

departing southhampton 7/20 and arriving 7/27 NYC :smile:
