I checked, he forgot his water wings. He's still on the Undine.

That's great your MINI is on the way. What link are you tracking the ship at?

My Mini ended up on the Mignon and I have been using this link to track it. http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
Then click on the "Auto Cargo" link on the right and enter your VIN.

sailwx?

I doubt it. Their server has been flakey all month (I've already done a dry run of tracking a ship...).

No - my MA tells me she cannot find this info out - can you check with your MA? I don't believe my saleswoman, I think she doesn't feel she has to do the extra work, since I committed to buying a MINI . I should have asked about order tracking, etc... before I put the deposit down.

MY MA's reports does not carry that data, they have very extensive reports as exact time of build ect. But when it comes to the ship it's a no go. Jeff (my MA) at Global is great. He is looking into it for me. Meanwhile you and I are floating somewhere on the ocean.

Oh. Is he supposed to know the ship? If not, then I guess we'll just have to wait. Tell you this - find out WHEN (time, date) your MINI arrived in the US/VPC. I'll try to do the same. Then, match up the time when the ships came into SC port (or thereabouts), and figure out which ships it *could* have been on. Our MINI's could have been put on a K-line, etc... though I'm not 100% sure which ship it could have been on. In that case, they essentially have disappeared for the time being!

Sounds like a plan. Jeff doesn't know what ship. He's trying to see if there are any other avenues to find out where we could be.

i just got a call from my MA.

my LY/W mcs landed in NYC a couple of days ago and is lounging
at the VPC.

it's slated for a ride down to the dealer on monday and final
dealer prep on tuesday (my BD).

unfortunately, i can't get there to pick it up til next friday

it still needs a name!!

i thought about putting a zig-zag black stripe on it and calling it
"charlie brown"

Edit: oddly, the WW cargo site still shows 'chuck' to still be onboard
the MIGNON.

What a pleasant surprise! I'd go crazy knowing my MINI was ready and waiting for days before I could pick it up.

i'm pretty sure my MA will tell you that i'm driving HIM crazy.

the dealer's an hour away on the north edge of thier city beltway.
it's just not possible to get there during daylight hours, do
a daylight walkaround to find any cosmetic flaws and a reasonable
test drive to check for things like supercharger belt squeal, etc
if my SO and i have to start from work first.

so we're taking friday off, picking up the car, bringing the land rover
aka silver beast home, and then off to annapolis for sorta late lunch
(hmmm, maryland crabs !!!)

if i were able to pick up my new mini next tuesday,
(when it arrives at the dealership),

the whole process from order to delivery would have only
taken a month and a day.

of course, i didn't find out til today when they were scheduled
to recieve it, so i didn't start the process of moving money around
til today. (if only they didn't expect payment at delivery ...)

looks like i'll have to put off the much anticipated delivery of
my LY/W MCS (henceforth to be known as "woodstock")

my grandmom passed away yesterday in HI and
i'm off to attend the funeral. (who knew that anchorage was
a stopover to maui when starting from the east coast??)

i'm not too sad since she lived a very long and loved life into her nineties.

woodstock will have to wait til next tuesday.

(should i call the dealership and make sure that she's not
mishandled in the meantime??)

My condolences on your loss. I would call the dealership to let them know you will be delayed in picking it up, out here in California the dealer could potentially just sell it if you don't show up at your scheduled time to get it.

If I remember right, there was some wording on the form I signed when I put my deposit down to that effect.
