Howdy NAM. Bought my first modern Mini yesterday. A 2002 Electric Blue Cooper S with 9k miles. Sweet ride. This is my 5th Mini, however the others were not as robust as this one. The others were either 850's or 1098's with the wonder wand shift levers and one with a 1275 S carriage. The old S body was destroyed in a roll over but the carriage survived. (Found my old gold Mini City shirt today, I think it needs to be replaced!) Anyway, the '02 has an appointment with Classic for a health and happiness checkup Friday next. Happy days are here again.

 

Hey, congratulations. I look forward to hearing of your impressions of the modern MINI, particularly since you have so much experience with the old one. Frankly, I'm jealous; I'd really like to drive a classic some day!

 

I love the electric Blue - If the convertible had been available in EB, I would have gone for it.


Definitely interested in your impressions relative to the classic Mini.
