I can't seem to decipher the difference in the rear washer icons on my MINI '05. It appears if one pushes the lever all the way up or all the way down, it achieves the same thing: washing and wiping the rear windshield. The icons are exactly the same. Either way, I have to hold the lever in the position. The only fixed position is off or one notch up. So what's the difference in the function of the highest and lowest lever position? Thanks.

 

lowest sprays and wipes only as long as you hold it, up keeps it on and its on a 10 second interval.
