I got a base plate put on my mini so I could tow behind my motorhome. Is it ok to tow its a straight stick? The dealer say only 45 mph. Has anybody done it ?

Most front-drive cars require that either the axle shafts be disconected or the front be put on a dolly for towing. When the wheels turn, everything in the transaxle turns.

i think most tow dollys and auto transports have warning stickers to not exceed a certain speed otherwise it would result in a fish tail.

and for a mini i would recommened puirchasing an auto trailer that will have all four wheels off the ground, it is better for the mini because the mini has such low clearence. and if you or anyone else is looking to purchase one of these autotransports, i would recommened one of the used rental equpiment trailers that uhaul sells. they are pretty good prices!
