Couldnt take pokey ctv Mini

I bought a 05 mini convert, chili red, loaded with auto. I owned it a month then yesterday traded it in on 05 red mini convert s auto. I gave up leather seats for more power. I ate 4,500.00 plus tax etc, but i gained a car with guts. The ctv trans is really really pokey .

Well, either way, congrats x2...one for your "old" MINI, and one for your "new" MINI

I was thinking about this earlier today. For some reason, rightly or wrongly, MINIs have a developed a pretty solid reputation as a sports compact car. The Italian Job didn't do much to alter this...and MINIUSA, in fact, has done nothing but promote this image as well. No problem. Compounding all this is the abundance of enthusiasts who have rightly pounced on the performance heritage of the Mini. What enthusiast can resist the allure of a owning (and modding) a Mini Cooper S?

However, what has become of the Mini as a practical urban runabout? Perhaps the times have changed too much. Most enthusiasts want to go fast, naturally, but MINIs are indeed quite capable (in fact, insanely capable) as fun little family cars, running neighborhood errands, and tackling the otherwise mundane daily commute. How can everyday motoring be more fun than in a MINI!?!?!?!

So while angelfanz, as well as many of my own good friends pursue their rightful quest for power and performance, it's best not to forget the many others (including other personal friends) who find Coopers and even Cooper CVTs the absolute ideal transport.

Having said all this I should add that I myself test drove a MCSa recently....it IS awesome!!!
