What is a Mini One, versus a Mini Cooper.

 

I think its a 90 or 95 horse power version. The cooper is 115 ( I believe). Just one step below the cooper. Have yet to see one in the states.

You won't see a MINI ONE in the States. They aren't imported here.

 

Not a dumb question!

The MINI One is the "base" model only available in Europe. It has the same naturally aspirated 1.6L inline-4 engine as the Cooper, but de-tuned - not as powerful. It also has the "base" suspension (not the Sport or Sport+ like the Cooper or Cooper S, respectively). You also cannot order the One with a contrasting roof, and it comes with 15" steel wheels with wheel covers. The interior upholstery is different too. Bonus: the One is available in a turbo-diesel version, the OneD
