Funny part is her car was so much fun I had to have one of my own.

I have an ‘04 MCS/JCW and an ‘02 BMW Z3 for playing in the twisties, and can’t decide which one I like the best! The MCS is faster on my favorite drive with very tight turns, and the Z3 is faster on another favorite drive which has looser turns. If the rains ever stop here in SoCal the MCS is going to get H-Sport springs, rear anti-sway bar, and lower camber control arm - - and hopefully improve my times a little.
A note for you MINI cabrio owners: Since buying the Z3 in March of 2002 it has only been driven 106.9 miles with the top up. If it’s cold, then turn up the heat and wear more clothes! If it’s raining, then just drive faster!
My daily driver for the SoCal freeways is an ‘05 Scion xB. It gets as many thumbs-up as either of my other two cars.
Celebrated my 70th birthday last December.

That is AWESOME! I hope to still be going like you are when I hit 70!
Bought the 1st MINI, Audrey, (Feb '04 delivery) because my then 14 year old obsessed over them. My wife drove it until our daughter got her permit (15 1/2) and license (16). Daughter took her drivers test in it and it's been hers ever since. I bought Bagheera from Classic MINI in April '04 (July '04 delivery) and started building him for racing. My wife just ordered her '06 PH/W MCS, to be picked up in May from Classic. The only one in the family without a MINI is the dog. I guess if he had one, he'd be the youngest

bought my first car when I was in high school which is a used '97 rav4 in 2000 and now buying my first new '06 mini and i'm at 23. I've been working at a young age and I like to spoil myself. but hey, at least it's my own money right? =D
My 16 year old wants her own Mini...doesn't even have her license yet because she chose not to learn to drive manual in my old Jetta...now I have Spike there's no WAY she's learning to drive in him. She wants her own Mini, Black with Hot Pink Union Jack! I told her to get a job

There’s no need to hesitant about teaching your daughter to drive in your MINI.
My sons (now 17 and 18) did the required ten hours of drivers ed in an automatic and then we started by using all three of my manuals - - ‘02 Z3, ‘04 JCW MCS, ‘05 xB - - to get the 50 hours required in California. There was never a problem.

You haven't learned to drive until you know how to drive a manual. Not teaching anyone on my MINI but it convinced my brother to let me teach him manual on my last car and go for one lesson with drivers ed. could have had his lisence for ore than a year now but he's not really motivated, unless the MINI is in town.
17
16 when I put the order in for the car. That was February 18th. March 1st was my birthday, so now I'm 17.
My MINI should arrive by the end of the month. He better be paddling faster across that ocean! MAKE THE SHIP GO FASTER, MINI! Sorry...the anxiousness is starting to kick in. Still three more weeks though! It's hard to sleep at night! *calms down*
I've had to work for my MINI... and still have to continue to work for my MINI.
But it'll all be worth it. I'm trying to get a delivery job at the local New York Deli, here in Orlando Florida. If I can get that job, I can drive my MINI and work at the same time! It's sooooo brilliant!
hehe
I was 15 when I figured out I first wanted the car, by the way...
