I don't have one yet, been wanting one for years.I thought this might be a good place to start. Looking for advice on reliability of various years/models.

I've been told elsewhere that 3rd gen, B38 engine is a good bet. I don't know what difference it makes to have an S, vs non-S model. Most of the ones I've seen listed for sale are S models.

I'm looking for an older mini, I can't afford a new one. I really like the minu Countryman, I think that might be better for me, more cargo space.

I'd appreciate advice and tips on what to look for, what to avoid. Thanks in advance!
