First Time Mini Owner

My name is Alice, but I usually just go by Alias online because I always thought it was funny as a kid how similar they were and said why not that. Apparently, I really liked minis as a kid and maybe I vaguely remember that, but more currently, I love small, sporty cars that dont take themselves too seriously. Minis, miatas, Mazda3s, stuff like that. I decided to get a mini because they were the most readily available manual cars around that ticked my boxes. My car is at 83k so I know I have timing on the horizon and I figured my Mini would also be a good trial by fire to "get good" at maintenance/repair as I have already been good at the knowledge end of things but want to force myself to be able to do the DO end of things. Ive already got a basic roadmap planned out for maintenance and some upgrades I can do to improve reliability, some of them adding a few hp here or there. I also plan to swap my lip out for an r58/9 lip. What engine mount recommendations do yall have? My previous car had hydraulic filled mounts and suffered the same fate my mini is on the verge of suffering. I was told this forum website would be the best bet for modding/aftermarket advice compared to facebook. Also, other than a cryo treated chain, why is there no "upgraded" timing kit out there? I had a leak at my tstat housing and coolant pipe already which I replaced with metal versions that will likely outlast the engine now and it would be cool if I had a similar option with the timing.

Dont mind the plate, it made sense on my old car, a gen 2 mazda3, but idk what to get for the mini yet.

Congrats and welcome!

Engine mount - I have used our aftermarket ones no problems. If you want to oem feel. If you do poly you might feel some feedback in the vibration.

Our timing chain kits come with the most up to date version of the parts, their was some revisions over time with the tensioner, chain, and guides.

Is this how you reply?

Id be looking for poly mounts as thats what I put in my previous car and I dont mind nvh too much, after all, I did get a vert.
Also, as for timing chains, Id guess theres a good chance that I probably have some of the most updated timing components considering I have the final production run of Mini N18s.
Ive actually already got an ecs metal coolant pipe, tstat housing, and diverter valve spacer in my car as well as the black trim being from yall!
