We just picked up our 2nd modern MINI. I studied in England at University and had a '70 Mini to get around town. I sold that to pay for the flight home!

Fast forward 30+ years to 2023 and our son turned 16 and wanted a MINI. We picked up a very nice 10 year old 2013 MCS black on black with an auto and 51k miles on the clock. He's been running around in that for about 2 years now and he wants a manual transmission. He suggested we swap his from auto to manual!! What an optimist!!

Tonight we picked up a very nice white 2006 JCW with 101k miles. We made the 150 miles trip home through rough weather and it drives great, has great power and obviously is a ball to drive. We're dropping it off at the dealer Thursday for inspection and maintenance and then we'll do some practice driving in a local parking to figure out how to drive a manual. Looks like Dad now gets to drive the 2013! Both are slicktops which is good for Seattle!
