Mini Cooper owner, Los Angeles
Hello fellow mini owners! I'm Jim and I live in the Los Angeles area and have owned a 2013 Mini Cooper Convertible for about four years. I joined the forum because I have a few questions and thought this might be the place to get some answers and guidance. I haven't looked around yet but thought I would introduce myself first. I gotta say, I'm not a Mini enthusiast by any means. I bought this Mini used for my kid to get back and forward to high school which it did flawlessly for a couple of years. Now I am the main driver and I have a bit of a love hate relationship with the car and I need some convincing to hang in there and keep it. In the California summer, driving with the top down, love it. But the maintenance and upkeep seems a bit high.
See you around folks.
Jim.

Welcome to NAM. There is a wealth of information in here, it just may not be the easiest to find directly. One of the best ways to search is a standard Google search in your browser, starting the search with “North American Motoring”.
Glad to hear your kid had a good experience with the car. I also see that you posted elsewhere that it wouldn’t start until you put it in neutral and here you wonder if it worth keeping as maintenance and upkeep seems high.
Fill us in a little bit more about the car like options, model, transmission, the milage and the issues you have dealt with in the past. The current issue(s). Maybe someone will be able to chime in and provide help.
