Future Mini owner?

Hi all!

After 3 years of living in the NYC suburbs without a car, my wife and I have decided to get one, and the Mini Cooper Hatchback 4 doors is pretty much at the top of our shortlist of a potential commuter / small family car. It's certainly pricier than the alternatives but ticks all the right boxes

if i wasnt dedicated to my 2013 mcs, i would LOVE a 2017 or so(newer) 4 door MCS hatchback. They have that little bit extra room but still look all the mighty and mini

Welcome to the forum. A MINI should be a great car for the N.Y. city area. Incredible use of space and fun to drive.

Some point to the difference between a Mini (the classic car prior to BMW’s involvement) and a MINI from the BMW era with 3 generations. Others point to differences between generations of MINIs and would never consider one from another generation. Most of us appreciate all that is mini or MINI or Mini.

They're great cars. And despite the name Mini, they are incredibly useful for hauling things. You wouldn't believe some of the things I've managed to fit into a Mini Cooper.
