My R53 Build So Far

Had this car for over three years now and I has been nothing but miserable to me but I have still never stopped loving it. My throw-out bearing blowing up shortly after purchase was where it all started as upon doing it found water pump leaking, then found coolant all in the intercooler and supercharger, then leaking to a warped head all in one summer. Parked it for the winter as I thought everything was fixed and ready for the next summer until the supercharger gave out and decommissioned the car for yet anther complete summer waiting for parts. Finally this summer got the car most of the way sorted and feel comfortable enough to share as I really love these cars and work on them everyday and found an obsession hunting down factory JCW parts. Car is a 2003 Chili Red on Black with and unfortunate sunroof and factory nav, although not my perfect spec I decided not to switch with the amount of time I have into it.

All upgrades and mods so far:
- Fresh resurfaced head, all parts bought through the dealer with full motor reseal
- Facelift supercharger
- Alta 15% pulley
- JCW airbox with a gutted flap
- JCW injectors
- GP Tune
- MIltek non resonated exhaust
- JCW strut brace
- JCW R56 big brakes on every corner
- R56 rear trailing arm conversion
- h&r sway bar in the back
- billstein b14 coilover kit
- fresh rear subframe
- OG Volk TE37 17x7.5 with 215/40/r17 Dunlop Direzza ZIII
- Full Aero KIt
- JCW carbon hood scoop, trunk handle, and mirror caps
- Clear taillights and third brake light
- JCW Carbon Dash, ebrake handle, shift ****, alcantara boots, alcantara steering wheel with every carbon insert, carbon cupholder and shifter rings
- customer black headliner with all used pillars

Things Waiting To Install:
- JCW Carbon rear spoiler
- New front subframe with arms
- JCW floor mats (don't want to dirty them lol)

Really want to begin building a full rmw 1.6 for it this winter as I feel am ready to add some power, the car drives so good as it is now so I may just throw on the JCW head I have in my garage with a cam for a more mild build for now and leave funds open for my BMWs.

Very nice!

and there is good news: having nav makes changing to chrono pack much much much easier! (Though you still need an r270 to revirginize a used center cluster)
