New Mini R53 owner Bought with a timing chain issue

Hello Everybody I Bought a R53 with a timing chain repair needed, Cant wait to start whipping it around Vegas At Mach 4. I need the timing chain tool kit for maybe 2 days If anybody in Vegas could be so gracious as to loan me the kit or if I can rent it for 2 days. The budget won't let me buy a kit for 80 bucks for 1 job. Would be super grateful for the loan... I work on RV's for a living so if anybody needs advice on anything related please ask...

Welcome,

Some local MINI club members in Vegas might have one.

you don't need the chain & gear holding tool kit....just follow the instructions and line up the colored links on the chain to the marls on both cam & crank gears. Then install the chain tensioner

I have done many this way
