PPI question

I'm looking at a 2013 MINI Cooper S with 105k miles, on CarGurus that is at a MINI dealership. The dealership is about 150 miles away. My question is since it is at MINI dealership, should I be satisfied that the dealership did a thorough inspection or should I still arrange to have a PPI done?

The link to the ad is below. There are no pictures of the interior and I requested that the dealership send some to me.

Link to listening

Unfortunately, your link isn't working...

Just because its at a Mini dealer, doesn't mean they inspected the car thoroughly. You may not need to get a PPI performed, but you might ask their service department if it was serviced there. If it was, you should be able to get the service history.

Thanks for the response, I fixed the link, it should work now. I'll contact them to see about the service history.

And if you do buy it from that dealer, do not continue to use them for service. Ask around for a knowledgeable independent German motor shop in your area and make him your best buddy.

For sure, I had an E46 previously and I got to know my independent mechanic very well.

Here is the CarFax:

Looks like it was taken care of mostly by a Midas shop...

Thanks for that, I'm not sure what to think about it mostly being serviced at a Midas instead of a European specialist or dealership.
