Live Data Spikes

Hello all!

I recently bought a “blue driver” obd2 scan tool to help more closely monitor my 2012 R56 N16 because she has 180k on her. I’ve noticed that the live data will have spikes in data (e.g. STFT, MAF, coolant temp, timing advance). The other day my temp shot up to 322 degrees for .02 seconds and then back to the 221 it stay at. I changed the timing chain with the kit from mini mania. I understand fluctuations are normal but these are major spikes and valleys. Any ideas?
