Hi there, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a new member. I owned a 2003 MINI Cooper (used) in 2004-2007 and didn't have much issues with the car. Got a used 2002 MINI Cooper in 2011 and had it until 2016. That one I had lots of issues with and needed work. Unfortunately, I am in need of a car again, and MINIs are one of the few ones I can drive as I am 4'10" tall.

After researching online for months now about which model year is the best from the first Gen, I've decided to look for a 2004-2006 MINI Cooper S. I've found a few of them that felt good after a test drive, looked pretty good, but after the pre-purchase inspection, they came back with repairs worth more that what the asking price is.

Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed. it seems like you can't get a used MINI for less than $5000 that will not need to pour in anouther $5000. and I just want a car to drive around town.

Welcome aboard!

Unfortunately the car industry new/used pricing is still very high. Keep looking and you will find what you are looking for.
