Couple of MINI questions

Hi everyone. I have been dreaming about buying a mini since getting a chance to co drive a gstock mcs last season. I had a couple of questions that hopefully you guys could answer.
First off i live on long island and i am aware that there is at least three mini dealers. I would like to hear what good experiences everyone had from any of the mini dealers here on the island. Also, How long would I have to wait for a mcs if I were to order in late feb.
Lastly I wanted to know if the car could be ordered with the AERO KIT grille without getting the whole kit.
Thanks in advance for any information. Hopefully everything goes good and i can get the mini of my dreams.

Mex,

There are some things about a MINI when you order that just aren't available from the factory- An Aero Kit grill is one of those such items. I would suggest getting the Aero Kit front bumper- which you can do fairly easily.

As for the lengeth of time for you order, that will deffinately depend on where you order from. For instance, here in Indianapolis, If you order the end of Feb. The car will most likely arrive in April.

Motor On

That is to say, the aero kit is installed by your dealer, not at the factory. They certainly can install just the aero kit grill. My local dealer guesstimated 2 hours of labor to do it. The top aero kit grill just fits right in, but the opening for the lower grill has to be modified in order to get the lower aero grill to fit flush. Hence, 2 hours of work and about $100.

I bought my car at MINI of the Hamptons. It was a great buying experience. Jerry O'Halloran handled everything even financing through a great bank with the lowest rate possible. I was amazed at his service. I would recommend you at least give them a call. BTW- they sell at MSRP.
