Thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself- I’m James and live in Maryland.
I have lusted after minis since I first test drove an ‘06 CPO MCS at the dealership in ‘07- I knew at that point I would own one some day.
I’ve been a life long BMW owner and was very active in the old E9 Yahoo group and E34 M5 forum.
I infected my wife with my mini admiration and she bought a ‘19 MCS a few months ago. We just went to look at it (she had never driven a mini) but the second we left the lot on the test drive- I knew it was going home with us.
After a few weeks of passively looking on line for something for me (was looking at R53’s as a toy for since my Audi A3 8p is my daily) I found a ‘17 Countryman S All4 with 6-speed, in BRG with British Oak leather and every package offered at the time. I knew it had to be mine.
So here I am, look forward to getting to know you all and learn as much as I can about how to keep these guys on the road for as long as possible.

Funny your handle is Flying Brick- I’ve been referring to my CM as a sexy toaster.
In the mid '60s I was driving a TR roadster with a car club that included an Austin Mini Mk1 we referred to as the flying brick the way he cut the cones on autocross. When this li'l guy came along, well...
