Glad to be here. Need all the help I can get.

Finally got the Mini Cooper I’ve wanted most of my life. However, my 2011 Cooper S has been as challenging as raising my grandchild. Now it’s my power steering going in and out. What I didn’t research was where the closest Mini dealer is-2.5 hours away!! So we’re trying to fix everything ourselves (meaning I read and my husband fixes). But I love my car even if right now I just sit in it in the carport. Any ideas out there? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum. I have relied on a trusted local mechanic for the past few years so I am not much help.

Check out the second generation section and post any questions you can’t find answers to. There is great knowledge on the forum and great people willing to help when asked.

Post some pictures when you get a chance and welcome to the MINI family.

No clue as to your location but there's got to be a good and reliable independent shop around there. Check with other MINI people. Indies aren't running the shop to support a show room.

Another point, pictures! Without pictures it didn't happen.

These are my grandkids, better known as my co-pilots. Another reason the steering must be working perfectly.
