New Member Intro & A Question About V1 Install

Hello All! MCFox here from Northern Virginia. I acquired a new-to-me 2016 Pepper White Mini S 4 door this spring (my first Mini). I am enjoying the tight handling, peppy throttle response, and quick side-to-side transitions. However, given my driving style, and the unusual look of the car, I am afraid I will be attracting unwanted attention from the Boys in Blue. Which brings me to my question.

There is a write-up from 2007 on the forums (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ew-mirror.html) by "crucial-fiction" for hardwiring a Valentine One radar detector (for a 2nd gen). However, I am not able to view the pictures referred to in the write-up.

If anyone has an idea about how I can obtain/view the relevant images, I would appreciate your advice. (I attempted to contact the author of the write-up, without success.)

Thanks! And, happy to be a member of this community.

Welcome. I just hardwired our Escort this week. Same connections.

I buy these items. I mount it up high to the left of the rear view mirror.

Simple install. Run the wire down to the right towards the passenger side. Wires go down under the glove box and plenty of space to bring one up and use one of the open fuse spots that turns on only with the key. I forget what spot number but you can play with each one until you find one that isn't always live. There was also already a grounding spot right by the fuse box for the ground. You just pop on the ground wire and use a 10mm nut to tighten down.

Thx! Looks like you have the same Pepper White/Black Stripes paint scheme.
