Details on removing 06 R50 MK1 blower motor.

how the heck do I remove the dang blower motor? Recently on my 06 R50 the blower motor went out while driving. Initially, I thought it would be the resestior yet the voltages range from 8.5-12.5 while changing the fan speed leading me to believe it's the motor itself. i watched a youtube video on an mk2 and it seems like it could just pull out. I got all the screws out and tried pulling it out but I'm getting stuck on a metal piece on the way out. It's been hell for the past few days attempting to find resources on how to change the motor and was seeing if anyone had any experience on changing it and if I would need to completely remove the dash to get at it oh and how the heck to do that. Thanks for reading my bs any input would be amazing.

cheers RB
