New & Thanks!
I live in Lexington, Ky and while not new to fun cars, I am new to Mini. Just placing my order this morning and this site has been very helpful. I have looked up quite a bit in making choices. There are so many cars built on my online Mini garage (virtual garage who would have guessed) that Mini wont allow me to build more! Of course if the delete button would work I could get rid of my initial builds to make room. If you have not used the build feature on the Mini site, I recommend it. The options are far more extensive than any other car I considered. It is because I had such fun "building" that my virtual garage overflows.
I am ordering White Pepper, Clubman S, Black roof, Iconic with just about every option out there with a manual transmission. The last time I had a manual was a 2002 Audi TT Roadster which I was only able to keep a couple years, because no matter how hard I tried I couldn't fit the kids and the kid stuff into it. I had so much fun living in Breckenridge, Colorado and driving that car. Before the Audi I went 18 years with a Mom car, you know ones you can fit the whole hockey team into and missed driving as fun.
I had my first manual at 19 with an ancient VW bug which I continually flooded. My Dad was of the throw her in the river to teach her how to swim school, taught me by going half way up a mountain, pulling over and saying "get in and drive, when you get to the top of the mountain you will have learned how to drive a stick"! He was right and I was hooked. I just can't wait to get the MINI. Because of Covid I have completed the sale "virtually", never entering the dealership. I test drove a few used cars that were for sale in my area as the dealership is a few hours away. This experience has been very unique.
Lastly I can be long winded. On the flip side I have enjoyed the owner stories on this site so much that I hope others are similarly afflicted and won't mind!

Welcome to the family and Hi from Cincinnati. I might drive through there from time to time on the way down the Sevierville, parents live down that way and are about and 1.5 hours from the dragon. Post up some Pics when you get it and look out for MOTD this year around the end of April, beginning of May.
You call your mini "b!tch".......? LOL, only 1 of my cars had a name, the VW Bug was Norman. Hum, naming the new car.....could be as much fun as picking out a name for the puppy! Take Care and Stay Safe.
She can be needy at times, and I spend more time with her than the wife, so yep she’s my b!tch and I love her.
