New MINI owner in South Central Wisconsin

I’ve always loved MINI’s and I am so happy to finally be an owner. I’ve had my sights set on a Countryman S ALL4 for over a year. How did I survive so long driving Volvo wagons? I was trapped in the fog of child rearing and related responsibilities. My kids are no longer slugs and the Volvo (with over 175K miles) was at the dealer with a $6500 repair estimate. The dealer also happened to have a 2018 Countryman S ALL4 as a recent trade in sitting on their lot. I said goodbye to the Volvo and hello to my new Mini!!!

After 3 weeks of driving this car I am still riding that MINI dopamine high. I had forgotten how much fun driving could be… and it’s even an automatic! I’m already looking for my second one. I test drove a 2016 Cooper S Hardtop 4 Door this past weekend (manual) and YES!!! But, it's not quite in the budget yet. Also, I want my kids to be comfortable driving a manual. I feel like it is becoming a forgotten art in these younger generations.

I am so glad I found this forum. It has been great fun reading about everything MINI and the endless possibilities. I have found a ton of helpful information and I’m super thankful you all are here!
I'm already tinkering with Bimmercode and waiting for the Union Jack tail lights to arrive.

Libby

Welcome to the forum and the MINI experience.

While I may be biased, A first generation convertible would make a great second MINI.

Thank you for the welcome! I haven't been this excited about cars since I was 19. I will check out the first generation convertibles!

Hey Thanks!!! I haven't seen many in this color and I was curious if that was because it was something special or just really unpopular. I'm really enjoying the color!

Welcome, just not that many made. I think people go with gray, white, or black on the new Countryman. Most dealers dont stock smaller volume colors, harder to sell. Now on the normal F56 you will find many colors.
