Houston, we had a [Mini] problem. We keep buying them.
We currently have a few Minis around the house. We got the first one was 2 years ago. While vacationing in 2019 with our friends, they were recounting their adventures on Minis Takes the States Rally in 2018. We made a decision to join them on the 2020 MMTS. Alas, that never happened, BUT we have still enjoyed driving "Nigel" our little 2003 British Racing Green Cooper S with JCW tune kit and suspension and brake upgrade. There are a few coworkers that have Minis and together we have enjoyed several day trips around Texas and a couple of weekend adventures.
We have enjoyed "The Mini Lifestyle" so much, we got the bigger one for daily use. Last year my wife brought home a 2018 F60 Countryman. when we took it to the local Mini dealer for an oil change,it somehow came home with a JCW tune kit (little blue tooth **** and all) which strangely enough, I don't have a picture of..... No wait I do have one, the day we bought it.
Anyway I do like the way is barks and snarls when in sport mode (I wish my Gen 1 would do that).
And lastly a story that deserves a thread all its own. We just got a 2004 MC40 (already named him "Monty") that I intend to resurrect and take to the 2021 MTTS next July.
So, that is my introduction. Nice to find a forum that is friendly and ACTIVE.
I assume you mean creating a build thread for your own MC40, right? The MC40 owner's group is the place for all the info you'll need to restore your ride as well as seeing other build threads. Otherwise, post in the Gen 1 section. I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you're ever up this way let me know.
