Hello all, recently picked up 2006 GP #419, which I've known for a while through the prior owners, friends of mine. All stock except for a carbon JCW shift **** and I've only put about 20 miles on the car in the past couple weeks. Great driver-level car with 67k miles and a recent major service in March '20.
A bit about me: live in the south Bay Area, California in a town called Los Gatos, worked for BaT for years and did a few thousand auctions for them, currently work as the Director of Auctions at Cars & Bids...huge car nut to say the least.
My other fun car is a mildly modified low-mile 2001 Miata with some fun Flyin' Miata/Racing Beat goodies, and the daily is a 2019 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD.
Anyway, I've driven quite a few Minis (used to be the GM of a dealership back in the day, sold a couple near-new GP1s myself) and look forward to learning more about them as an owner. If there's any local people/gatherings I should know about please let me know. Take care!
