just joined today after spending an age looking through loads of info here.

I recently bought a 2008 Mini Cooper S. It has 106,000 on the clock but inside and out it doesn't show.
has a slight miss fire at idle. Previous owner did not know if the timing chain had been done so the Mini is parked up and not being used as a precaution.
I have purchased an FAI TCK118VVT kit for my timing chain replacement.
I have 10 liters of oil and 2 filters on the way as being over 100,000 miles I figured my mini may benefit from fresh oil post timing chain kit, a good blast of a drive and then a further change of oil and filter.

glad to be here, have a good day folks.

A MINI can always benefit from fresh oil, however, what we need is some pictures.

Welcome and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the forum. While you are doing the timing chain, replacing the valve cover, plugs and coils wouldn’t hurt. You have them already out so.
