Hello all

Just picked up a dirt cheap R56 with the N14, 160k miles. I did a lot of lurking on here before buying, so I know what I'm getting into. I wanted a project car to teach my kids how to turn their own wrenches. She leaks a little oil and needs some TLC, but she still runs and drives strong.

Known problems we've found so far:

- Oil leak(s) from somewhere - mainly getting white smoke and burning oil smell from the right side of the engine
- Pano roof that doesn't close all the way when its hot
- Passenger side door lock stuck unlocked. The actuator works, but it's jammed somehow
- Passenger side window sometimes stops half way going up or down. Probably related to the door lock issue.
- Bad TPMS sensor
- Dead radio - no display, no chimes, nothing
- Both hood latch mechanisms are bad. Only the safety catch is holding.

my car is in good shape except now having serious engine issues. Looking like I’m going to be rebuilding the engine
