New From Montreal, Canada!

Hey guys! Got myself a 2004 Cooper S last summer, and used quite a lot of threads in here as references before buying and after... so I figured I'd join!

Body's not mint (hear canadian winters and ~100K miles), but I fell in love when I saw that BRG and even more when I drove the car. I hope on doing a few lapping days this summer and maybe try autocross, as I got a little experience with my Uni's FSAE team and quite enjoy it!

I focused on the maintenance that had to be done before investing in performance thingys, so not many upgrades yet...
- R56 brakes and stainless lines up front (+ EBC yellows waiting for summer!)
- Powerflex control arm bushes
- Polyurethane stiffer rear engine mount
- Outmotoring's JCW style grilles
... And that's it for now. I got a bigger rear sway bar and strut brace waiting to be installed and a 15% Alta pulley coming with some colder plugs.

Ah, I also got in a parts bundle some (Ireland Engineering I believe) fixed camber strut mounts... If anyone has opinions on those, they're welcome. The guy gave them to me with the sway bar and the R56 brake kit as well as a few other parts, and told me that the car behaved very well on track with that setup and was quite neutral. I know most experienced/track guys out here will say you need adjustable camber plates, or even a coilover kit... I figured with a limited budget I may try those and eventually upgrade when I have the talent to fully take advantage of an adjustable setup!

Last thing, I have my eyes on a set of Bilstein B4 front shocks. 75$ CAD (basically 50$ USD) for the pair, brand new. As with the fixed camber strut mounts, maybe not THE optimal choice, but at that price would you guys think it'll be an upgrade on the original ones?

Cheers!

(disclaimer - car's still on winter tires and they have not yet been thoroughly cleaned )
