Denver r60

New to the Mini world, but not new to forum world!

'Recent' life story-

Back in 2011 I bought a r51 '08 v8 4x4 Nissan Pathfinder (back when it was truck style body-on-frame, before they went to the unibody they have now) and did quite a few mods to it (lift, intake, exhaust, tuner, etc). I found thenissanpath board and starting contributing quite a bit there, and liked that community. Back then I also had a TON more free time.

Then got married, moved from Dallas to Denver, bought a Wrangler toy, wrenched on it a little (lift, other various little mods and replacements), sold it after 1.5yrs for a little more than I paid for it and all parts, used that money for down payment on new house, started a family, messed up my back moving a desk into a new house and the next day the r51's exhaust manifold cracked so I decided (I was already thinking about it) to trade it for a landship sized Infiniti qx56. Then got divorced, went from 3700sqft house with 2.5 car garage to renting a 1300sqft single car garage condo. I paid off the qx and wanted a small, fun, 4dr, manual trans car. I'd always liked the look of Mini's (but I've always loved small cars), and after driving one I was hooked.

Ended up finding a black r60 S all4 w 101k mi at a small non-dealer style car lot, and ended up snagging it.

I had done some research before buying and noticed the issues on the boards, but I also realize from back in my time on the r51 board that usually the only ones that post are ones with issues. So it doesn't necessarily mean all Mini's are junk/lemons/money pits. But holy small engine compartment batman, it will be much harder to accomplish things on the r60 compared to my r51 and TJ

My old pathfinder. I miss her dearly!! 2in lift, 33in bfgs, bullydog tuner, airraid intake, magnaflow 22in, airlift rear bags, rock road rock sliders, various other little mods. I later removed the pinstripe for a little cleaner look. everything self installed. and yes, I did take her offroading!

99 TJ, 2in lift, 33in bfgs, Just Empty Every Pocket with all sorts of random things breaking and being replaced, like exhaust manifold, thermo, idler pulley, etc. Sold a few years ago. I do miss it, it was a fun toy

'11 r60, currently assembling list of things I want/need to replace/fix

Ha, I'm not a fan, I'd rather have straight black. You want 'em?

Do you know if they are OEM? I bought a pair of aftermarket ones, and they were junk. I have an F55, so I don’t think yours would fit, but thanks for the offer. 😊
