Hello folks, new to Mini's but not to wrenching on cars, near Vancouver BC Canada. I bought a 2009 Clubman with a known valve issue (anyone surprised?) and intend on pulling the head shortly as the #2 cylinder is hitting at 0 psi. I've bought this car with an unknown service history so I'll have to keep a close eye out for other issues as I go, to make sure I bring it up to proper nick. I've done lots of work on cars, mostly Honda Civics, and have had my share of BMW motorcycles so 1) I know how to bash and skin knuckles with the best of them, and 2) I understand the concept of BMW engineering: "there is the right way, the wrong way, and the German way." I've also posted in the marketplace for a Bentley manual and a cam/crank locking kit. I realize this kit is fairly cheap on eBay, but just seeing if anyone is done with one anyhow. I am sure you'll be hearing from me soon enough as I dig into this project. Cheers, clubbie.
Welcome, I would get a Bentley manual, schwaben scan tool, schwaben tools and kits, and check out these sites for info: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select
