Helloooooo! Just wanted to...

Hi!!! I just wanted to introduce myself and my MC40 'Winston' (as in Churchill) to the NAM family. I am a Mini owner from Central NJ - I noticed a few members are from NJ, so I hope to give ya a good honk & wave somewhere on these treacherous Jersey roads, lol. Let's Motor! - Bri

Not a MC owner. I suffer from Mini Lust and hope to order as soon as I get my finances in line.

I gather you're actually referring to the "gears" system we have here on North American Motoring for user titles.

Here is the break down for the number of posts required for each gear.

Neutral 0 - 10
1st Gear 11 - 50
2nd Gear 51 - 150
3rd Gear 151 - 300
4th Gear 301 - 600
5th Gear 601 - 1100
6th Gear 1101+

edited to fix chart

BriNYU:

Your MINI looks very sharp. That's the first time I've seen a MC40 with the Union Jack.

Welcome to the site.

Welcome!

I'm a NJ native, but I live in FL now. I have Blue State envy.

The Union Jack was a great choice on the MC40 -- very nice.

BriNYU,
Aloha and welcome to NAM.
Really nice MC40 you have there. I like the british roof flag- it matches so well. Now you just have to motor all over the place and enjoy.

Hey Bri,
Beautiful car, love the interior! I'm in Central NJ also, in Monmouth County. I'll have to keep an eye out for you and your car, I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point.

I guess I'm in that mysterious 2 and a half gear, that limbo area between 100-151 posts in that chart

Welcome,

Howdy BriNYU, great looking car! I guess you can't go wrong with an MC40! One question, the 37's you have embroidered into the seats, did you have to "disassemble" the upholstery to have that done or is there some sort of portable embroiderer? I am looking to do something similar to my seats (JCW logo) It looks great btw!

MINI d, those seats are part of the MC40 limited edition package. My stepmom runs her own embroidery business, and I don't think there is a 'portable' embroiderer, but I'll double-check with her to see if she knows anything.

LOL, hey Joe, I'm a couple towns over in Holmdel =0P Hopefully I'll see ya on the road sometime. I tend to take frequent trips to the Holmdel Town Center (Best Buy) so that I can drive really slow by all the people, lol. (like the Fresh Prince says, "2 mph so everybody sees you..."lol)

Hi Mini D! I could tell ya, but then I'd have to...lol, just kidding. Hey hit me up on AIM (wittlepotato) and I'll let you know how I did it. (The '37's on the seat were not part of the MC40 package, I had them done a couple of weeks ago)

Bri,
Sorry, I knew that the MC40 came with special seats, so I assumed that 37 was part of the package. That's too funny what you said about driving slow by all the people, I've done that many times myself, and Holmdel Town Center is a great place for it, LOL. I was just thinking, about a month or two ago, I saw an MC40 parked outside Ultimate Sound on 35 by me, was that you?

Yeah, I took my wife's CRV there last year to get her automatic car starter put in. If I get the iPod that's on my Christmas list, I'll be checking to see if they can install the new Dension IceLink that's coming out. Otherwise I'll be looking to see who can do it around here.
