New here from NC

Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and say hey. I am Mike and I live in Goldsboro NC. I recently got a 2006 R53 and my wife loved it so much that we got here a 2010 R55. We are having quite a few issues with hers right now that I will be picking the fine members of this site about. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Mike

Welcome to the neighborhood Mike. I used to get down to Goldsboro occasionally. If not for an Air Show it was to pick up some good BBQ. I heard through the grapevine that "Wilbur's BBQ" is going to or has closed, is there anything to that?
If you haven't already, you should join Tarheel Minis. If for no other reason than the discount you can get on parts from Flow Mini.

I spent 5 years in Goldsboro (Air Force). I have fond memories.

Thanks Vetsvette, You did hear correctly about Wilbur's closing. The business was seized because of unpaid taxes. However, the owner said that he was going to take care of it ASAP to get it opened back up. I am not sure though if it has opened back up. I live on the northeast side of Wayne County and work in Greenville so I really do not drive by there much. I will definitely check out that Tarheel Mini site.

Scott that's awesome, that is the reason that I ended up in Goldsboro. After doing two years in England I got station here in 2001 and stayed here until I retired last year. I really like the area but after growing up in West Texas the only thing that I can not get use to here is the humidity...It kills me.

Yeah, the summers can be long and a bit uncomfortable. But the winters are generally mild, so there’s that. But the yellow pine tree pollen...that I can live without.
