Former owner considering a return
Former owner considering a return
Second try at this message. I tried to post yesterday morning but it never showed up. I don't know what I did wrong.
I used to own a 2008 Mini S, but I sold it because my boyfriend (now husband) doesn't drive a stick and I needed a car we could both drive. I'm now considering getting a mini, this time an automatic. But I'm wondering if I get a regular (not S) if I'll miss the power. I think I'd prefer the regular because I don't really like the run flat tires on the S. I'm planning on visiting a dealership to take a test drive, but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has any thoughts on this.
Also, I'm considering a four door instead of a two door so that the back seat is more easily accessible. But I'm wondering if the smaller doors on the four door model make it harder/more awkward to get in and out of the front seat.

My daughter bought a door 4 and I have no issues getting in and out of the front doors. the back is a different story. The regular copper is zippy unless you like drag racing from light to light.
I suggest you test drive both the S and non S to see for yourself. Take it on a long test drive that includes highway and local roads if possible.
I believe that all coopers come with run flats in the US

LOL, I wondered if anyone would say this.
Well, I went to the dealer today and I really didn't like the colors; I used to have a LIghtning Blue mini and I really liked that color. The current blue colors just don't look as nice to me.
I wonder what color changes, if any, they will have next year? Does Mini announce those in advance of release?
Thanks,

I am almost with Mike, however, it may be better to buy a MINI Cooper S with a stick and encourage the husband to learn to drive it before the divorce. I am sure he has some redeeming qualities for you to have married him so he should be given to opportunity to address this one shortcoming.
Have you thought about a wrap to get the perfect blue?

thanks for your message; No, I'm not really a big fan of those colors, though the Starlight Blue is the closest. There's just something about it that doesn't look as nice to me, but I might just have to go for it.
