Just wanted to say Hi. I just got my second R53, and am loving it, despite having to put some parts in it to get it totally road ready. It, I am ashamed to say, is my winter beater. But what a winter beater, as I bought a JCW 210 kit R53 for $3k CAD. Love every second driving it, though. Soon in the spring "Sandra" will join my summer car, "Francesca" the Alfa Romeo 155 V6. She is my pride and joy: Francesca at Radwood Philidelphia
I will get a good photo of Sanda once spring hits and I can properly clean her.
I look forward to chatting with you all.
Sandra's Mods:
Alta rear swaybar
JCW 210 kit
Megan race header and Magnaflow cat, 90 deg O2 spacer (to be put on soon)
Exhaust cutout
JCW trim bits
Welcome from a fellow Ottawa-area guy and R53 JCW owner. Sweet Alfa! We have a loosely formed club in Ottawa you can find it here: LXM Ottawa. We're having a Sunday Brunch on Feb 10th if you're interested in meeting some of us.
You got a great deal. I have seen a couple for 5K and they were ok, not perfect by any means, needed some work done, Most of the time guys on here find them and grab them up because they know they are so rare.
Well done. How many miles and we need pics
^ That competition edition is the rare of the rare in Canada.

Sanda has 170,000kms. I will post pics when she is not covered in salt and snow. Needs a proper detail and then I will take lots of pics, I promise.
"Francesca" is beautiful. I have 4 Italian cars, including two Alfas. 159 Sportwagon for daily, and 1970 Bertone GTAm replica for historic racing. Mini is fun and happiness, but you can't find more beautiful cars Alfas and you get a special feeling driving.
