Greetings
Hi all,
I've had Minis for the past few years, as well as when I was a teenager (first car was a 1275GT classic- wish I still had it!). Currently have a 2009 R55 Clubman JCW, so yes, N14 hell. Oh and I'm a Brit, living in Indiana for the past almost-4 years.
I've used this forum as an unregistered user now and again and it's great, along with an N14 related Facebook group. So it's about time I actually joined the forum properly, so I can ask questions!
Pic attached is my R55 in winter and summer mode. Currently it's on stands in my garage while I swap out the water pump pulley and friction drive. :-/ Happy days...
Anyway, happy to be here.
Cheers.

Pretty straightforward after a short adjustment period. I had driven manual transmission cars in France and on Mediterranean holidays, though. It still took a while to be as slick and almost subconsciously change gear as back in the UK. Going back to a UK manual car over Christmas was easier than expected - after almost four years of LHD auto and manual. Work trips back home the rental company gave me auto transmission upgrades (BMW and Mercedes), so I didn't quibble. Ha ha.
Hi and welcome into the NAM family! Best place to meet with other Mini owners and learn how to keep it going like new!
The N14 requires more maintenance, than other models, but if you keep up on it and fix things before they fail, will keep you driving down the road, pretty trouble free!
