HI,

I am in the process of hunting down a used mini cooper convertible manual. Right now I am looking at 2014 2015 and maybe a 16. I have a 5 year old daughter that will be in a car seat in the back. Do I need to find a 16 for the extra few inches or will a 14 or 15 be ok. Any advice is appreciated from both me and my daughter. I am also interested in any other opinions on these three years.

I suggest that you go to a dealership and take a few test drives with your car seat and daughter. Not all car seats will fit the same and more importantly not all children will have the same level of tolerance for a small car.

should need just a booster at 5. In any case i think youll be fine now, but think how long will you have the car will they fit at 8 or 10?
